Hey Suzanne Glover here, Creator of the Video Influencing SystemTM and what we're going to talk about now is why keeping your message consistent through video is the easiest and smartest way to market yourself online today, yet widely ignored by most entrepreneurs. And this is something I realized years ago...

You see, although I’ve “lived video” inside the film industry for many decades, it didn't dawn on me until about two decades ago when video wasn't widely used by the public...

But then I realized the perfect use for small business marketing when I explored getting a facelift—which I didn’t do by the way..

But, during that process, I visited a “cosmetic surgery” firm where the salesperson met me, asked a few questions and then sat me in a room where I watched a video from the company’s founder sharing his message. This was long before video was common in most small business marketing so it intrigued me.... Having the founder explain his mission and show up really credible on video made me feel connected to him and his company. He was literally the “face of the company” making it feel personal - like I knew him. Like I wanted to do business with him. And even though I didn’t get the facelift, if I had, I would have chosen that company because of that video’s impact and the connection I felt with the founder.

Another example – by the way – is Men’s Wearhouse. Back in the 80s, the company's Founder always ended his TV commercials with “I guarantee it” and that tagline has stuck with me for decades.

Why is that? Consistent messaging.

So, here’s my point and your 4-point checklist for drawing in your audience:

  • First, you need to know what your message is so you can make it consistent message,

  • Secondly, you need to be the ONE who delivers it to let prospects get to know you,

  • Third, you want to craft videos that draw viewers in, by saying exactly what your audience wants and needs to hear, and...

  • Fourth, don't just “speak on camera,” be the one who knows how to “emotionally connect.”

And this isn’t just for sales videos —it’s about ensuring your entire customer journey, from front-end videos to your sales team, carries one unified message.
